  • Lead and oversee the bank’s AML, CTF and Sanctions frameworks across Bulgaria and Greece, ensuring compliance with EU, local and international regulations
  • Manage all AML operational processes, including screening, monitoring, alert handling, sanctions checks and fraud prevention mechanisms
  • Manage and supervise investigations of suspicious transactions, cases flagged by AML systems, and escalations from branches or internal teams
  • Provide expert guidance to branch and head office colleagues on KYC, EDD/CDD, onboarding, customer monitoring and AML/CTF procedures
  • Analyze complex financial crime cases, emerging typologies and risk trends, recommending actionable mitigation measures
  • Drive AML related training programs, building a culture of compliance, transparency and ethical behavior across the bank
  • Prepare and oversee the submission of regulatory AML/CTF and Sanctions reports, ensuring timely, accurate and well documented outputs for authorities and senior management
  • Lead process improvements, leveraging technology, data and best practices to strengthen the bank’s financial crime prevention capabilities

You meet our expectations for:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, including proven leadership exposure in AML, Compliance or Financial Crime Prevention.
  • Strong expertise in AML/CTF, Sanctions regulations and financial crime risk management in multiple jurisdictions (Bulgaria and Greece preferred).
  • University degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Excellent command of English, with the ability to liaise effectively with regulators, Group stakeholders and international partners.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the capability to evaluate complex cases, make sound judgments and ensure high‑quality decision‑making.
  • High self‑motivation, integrity and adaptability, with the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
  • In‑depth knowledge of EU and Greek AML/CTF legal frameworks, including familiarity with EBA Guidelines and international best practices.
  • Willingness to participate in international training, workshops and development programs organized by ProCredit Bank.
  • Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, CFE or CSS, experience in lending, onboarding and customer lifecycle AML processes, as well as a proven track record in managing high‑performing AML teams will be considered an advantage.
