Currency conversion/card rate information

Whenever you pay with a Visa debit or credit card in a currency other than the currency of your bank account, ProCredit Bank performs a so-called "currency conversion":

1. When paying in EUR, the card exchange rate is applied to convert transactions at the time of posting:

Currency:
Buy:
Sell:

Reference difference to the ECB exchange rate (BGN/EUR 1,95583):

- For the buy rate: 1,84%

- For the sell rate: 1,72%

2. Where the payment is made abroad, including online, in a currency other than EUR, the amount is converted at the VISA card scheme's published rate for the day, which is the so-called settlement. Settlement between VISA and ProCredit Bank (Bulgaria) EAD shall only take place in EUR.

Once a settlement is made at the VISA rate, the Bank will recalculate the payment amount in the currency of your account by applying the card exchange rate for card transactions at the time of posting. This is the final amount that your account is obligated for that particular transaction.

Example:

You have made a payment in HUF with a Visa card. The currency conversion would look like this:

Currency of your account

BGN

Transaction amount

4 000 HUF

Convert ProCredit Bank
