Rumyana has been part of the Bank’s team since 2001 and joined the strategic management team in 2006.
She currently leads several key areas strategically: Credit Risk and the Bank’s Overall Risk, Anti-Money Laundering and Regulatory Compliance, Non-Performing Loans, and Fraud Monitoring and Prevention.
She believes that risk for a bank is not a threat but an opportunity when managed with clarity, principles, and responsibility. Risk management is a collective process that requires team alignment, while analytical data and models are its natural extension. At its core are values and experience, which give meaning to the numbers and ensure long-term sustainability.
Rumyana holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of National and World Economy and has further enhanced her managerial skills at the Bank’s Academy in Germany.
She believes that a good manager does not provide ready-made solutions but teaches the team through experience and skill development, enabling them to thrive for generations to come.
